December and HBBC week 2 recap.

December and HBBC week 2 recap.
02 Dec

We are headed into December and I had the strangest feeling yesterday.  It felt warm and euphoric and hopeful.

Could this be my Scrooge heart melting?  Could all this journey into health and wellness unearthed the Christmas spirit?

Its Dec. 2 and my house is decorated and I have bought several gifts and made plans to actually do crafts.

ITS HOLLY DAZZLING 🙂

It was another fun and fabulous week on the HBBC world too.  I just love this challenge.

This week, I did learn the value of a rest day.  I reflected on my two races from last week and read several more chapters from Running on the Edge. Its a good book about balancing life and running.

My challenge this week was to go to Yoga class twice.  I did go to the gym yoga class.  My daughter Laura loves yoga and attends regularly.  I can see why.  Everyone in the gym classes are gorgeous and even though I looked like I should be there to watch the purses, I rolled out my mat and tried to keep up with all the young-ins.  I will keep up the practice for sure and I am glad for all my planks a day prior to taking the class.   I will continue with the practice with online classes.

I received yogavibes as part of my training package for the Zooma race in January and the classes are amazing.

This weeks workouts-

5 runs

2 yoga classes

hits the fruits and veggies each day

did the workout of the week circuit style !  Pushups are tough!

I also launched the Pam’s 30th bday virtual 5K or 30 minutes of exercise on 12/28 /12 to celebrate my daughters birthday.  Its a great way to mark a wonderful event in our family and get everyone moving.

Next weeks goal will be to run outside more despite the change in weather.  I bought the cold gear so I need to use it!  At least 2 runs need to be outside.

This week was also the end of Pile on the Miles from RunEatRepeat.com.  I made a goal of 100 miles for myself for November and I did not make it.  I was 15 miles short of the goal.  That was not the challenge for me. It did not have the sense of community and support I need and I am thriving in the HBBC 2012 so I am looking forward to the upcoming weeks 🙂

  1. Glad that HBBC is going so well for you! I need to incorporate yoga into my workouts. I’ve got a new yoga for athletes DVD to try that I’m hoping I’ll enjoy!

  2. I have been a slacker or let’s be honest dealing with health stuff… Trying to stay positive but I will email tmrw an update on the plan.

Im so checking out yogavibes. I have been good and taking time to do quick 10 minute workouts while I’m at home. So this is perfecta,
