Running to beat the rain

Hey squad,

I have trained for several half marathons and now that I am in week 5 of marathon training I can say it’s way different. You have to strength train and cross train and stretch and run like the dickens. I am so into it that it starting to seem like my normal routine.

Tonight I honestly wasn’t excited to do intervals with threatening skies. I ran the whole Brooklyn half in the rain so I am not a wimp, but I did not want to do it tonight.  In the end,I got it done just as the skies opened up.

I am one lucky trainee.

Determination is the name of the game.

cheerfully yours,

Phyllis
